Virginia Gapski was born in Cascavel, Brazil, in 1994. She received her Bachelor's degree in Sculpture from Paraná State University in 2023, where she completed her Art Master's degree at the same institution in 2025. She has already been included in various important exhibitions, including 'Nós' at the Ponto de Fuga Gallery in Curitiba, Paraná, and 'Vórtice' at the Embap (Paraná State University) in Curitiba, Paraná. She was awarded a Thomas Rumble Fellowship this year and left Brazil to pursue an MFA at Wayne State University in the USA. She currently lives in Detroit, Michigan, where she is seeking to deepen her artistic research into medical images and textile arts.
